Inicio del Ciclo Escolar 2009-2010
El secretario de Educación Pública, Alfonso Lujambio, informó que el próximo ciclo escolar 2009-2010 iniciará el próximo 24 de agosto en todo el país, con lo que el 70 por ciento de alumnos de todo el territorio gozarán de 44 días de vacaciones de verano, lo contemplado originalmente.
Explicó que en los últimos nueve años, el promedio de duración del periodo vacacional de verano ha sido de 45.5 días y con el anuncio de la fecha de inicio del ciclo lectivo 2009-2010 el 24 de agosto, las vacaciones para 18 entidades federativas durarán 44 días, solamente uno y medio días abajo del promedio histórico.
En la sede de la Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP), el funcionario refirió que el acatamiento del calendario escolar no está sujeto a la decisión de una dependencia, sino a lo que mandata la ley.
